Nagbabala ang dating chairman ng Commission on Elections (COMELEC) na si Andres ‘Andy’ Bautista sa mga botante ngayong darating na halalan.
Sa kanyang tweet, sinabi ni Bautista na may ilang grupo ang tila nilalaro ang demokrasya ng Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng pagpapakalat ng kasinungalingan.
“As the May 2022 election approaches, may our voters hold fast to factual truths and resist the unconscious corruption of falsehoods promoted by those that seek to game Philippine democracy.” ani Bautista.
Ibinahagi din nito ang kanyang artikulo na isinulat tungkol sa diumano’y mga kasinungalingan at dayaan na nangyayari pagdating ng halalan.
Ngunit ngayon daw ay tila mas maaga daw na nangyari ang pagpapakalat ng maling impormasyon.

Itinanggi din nito na nagkaroon ng dayaan noong 2016 kung saan natalo si dating senador Bongbong Marcos kay Vice President Leni Robredo.
“A frequent lament from the Marcos camp is that they were ahead by close to a million votes at the start of the counting but the lead “magically” evaporated overnight. There was no magic but logic.” paliwanag ni Bautista.
“The votes that were transmitted first came from nearby areas in the National Capital Region and Luzon where the mobile signal was stronger. These were areas where Marcos was polling better than Robredo. But when the results from the Bicol region, Visayas, and Mindanao started to come in, Robredo caught up and eventually overtook Marcos.” sabi niya pa.
Matatandaan na ilang beses pinatamaan ni Bautista ang pamilya Marcos sa kanyang mga tweet.
Isa ng halimbawa ang pagbabahagi ni Bautista ng ‘world record’ tungkol sa diumano’y pinakamalaking nakawan na nangyari sa gobyerno na hawak ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos.
Sa ngayon ay nasa Amerika na si Bautista matapos itong tumakas sa imbestigasyon ng senado.
