A 4th-year college student has gone viral on social media after he was seen selling a dessert called ‘Graham Balls’ around Universidad De Manila.
The student has been identified as Francis Noel Soledad, who’s taking Bachelor of Technology in Print Media Technology at the Technological University of the Philippines-Manila.
According to him, he decided to sell graham balls to fund his thesis and medication for his health condition.
He’s selling graham balls for 80 pesos per container.
He revealed that he was suffering from atelectasis which made one of his lungs not function normally anymore.
Despite his illness, he had no choice but to think of ways to earn money because he don’t want to beg.
“Wala na akong ibang way or chance kundi magtinda ng graham balls, sa kahit saan. Aminado ako na mukha akong kawawa kapag namamalimos ako sa paghingi sa mga taong ‘di ko kilala,” the student said.
“Kahit ikamatay ko ‘yung sakit ko, magdrama ako nang ilang beses sa social media, ayos lang basta mananatili akong nakatindig para maabot ko ‘yung mga pangarap ko.” he added.
He also thanked the people who supported him.
“Thank you sa lahat ng sumusuporta ng paninda ko lalo na sa mga estudyante ng Unibersidad De Manila Wag sana kayo mag sawa kahit di masarap, Suporta lang may katuturan yung pagbili niyo charrr HAHAHA,” he said.
The post received thousands of shares from the netizens and some of them even offered to buy all his graham balls.
