Traydor Ka! PAO Lawyer na binabatikos ngayon ni Raffy Tulfo, ang nagpapadala pala ng abogado sa mga kaso sa programa niya sa RTI

Tila hindi pa matatapos ang pambabatikos na natatanggap ngayon ni senatorial candidate Raffy Tulfo.

Sa inilabas na pahayag ng Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Bulacan Chapter ay kinondena nila ang sinabi ni Tulfo sa panayam sa kanya ng CNN Philippines laban sa Public Attorney’s Office.

Ayon kasi kay Tulfo ay hindi daw ginagawa minsan ng PAO ang kanilang trabaho na magbigay ng libreng legal assistance kaya naman bubuo siya ng isang “free legal assistance clinic” na hahawakan diumano ng opisina niya.

“There are some times or cases na ‘yung PAO hindi mo makikita eh, ‘yung PAO absent, ‘yung PAO wala roon, although malaki ang sweldo ng mga taga PAO. [Pero] they can’t really perform. So, that’s when I would come in, ‘yung mga lawyers ko, volunteer lawyers, na para siguraduhin na meron talagang representation yung isang suspect kapag in-inquest.” ani Tulfo.

Hindi naman ito nagustuhan ng IBP Bulacan dahil tila matapos gamitin ni Tulfo ang PAO para tulungan ang mga nagsusumbong sa programa niyang Raffy Tulfo in Action (RTIA) at Wanted sa Radyo ay bigla bigla na lamang niya itong babatikusin.

Ang RTIA at Wanted sa Radyo ang mga programa na nagpasikat kay Tulfo na ngayon ay nangunguna sa mga survey sa pagkasenador.

Humiling ng public apology ang IBP at PAO sa sinabi ng mamamahayag.

“As someone who routinely refers people to the PAO and the IBP Legal Aid for cases his program cannot handle, Mr. Tulfo’s sweeping assertions of dereliction on the part of the PAO lawyers, made at the height of the campaign period, are flagrantly unfair. In an instant, their reputation and integrity have become suspect.” sabi sa pahayag ng IBP.

“Moreover, Mr. Tulfo’s remarks are likely to create among the uninitiated a perception that lawyers subserviently act at his bidding. With millions of followers on social media, he should have acted with more circumspection expected of a responsible media personality. In light of this affront, we join the calls for Mr. Tulfo to issue an apology to all PAO lawyers and rectify his unfounded generalizations.” dagdag niya pa.
