Inulan ng batikos sa social media ang kilalang activist priest na si Father Robert Reyes dahil sa ginawa nitong eksena sa headquarters ng Leni-Kiko tandem sa Katipunan, Avenue Quezon City.
Makikita sa mga larawan na ibinahagi ng Philippine Star at The Manila Times ang ginawang pagpasan ni Father Reyes sa isang krus na may nakasabit na telang pink na kinokonsiderang campaign color ng oposisyon.
Makikita rin ang mga manonood na may dalang palaspas na may nakadikit na pink ribbon.
Nagkaroon din ng misa sa nasabing pagtitipon kung saan ay winisikan ng pari ng holy water ang mga pink palaspas.
Hindi naman lahat ng mga netizens na nakakita sa larawan ay nagustuhan ang ginawang ito ni Reyes.
“Lord GOD, ako poy humihingi ng paumangin at patawarin niyo po kami sa mga ginagawa ng kapwa pilipino kong sumusuporta dyan sa kalbaryo ng maralita.” ani Mhre Ksre.
“That pink ribbon on the palm leaves, it really leaves a bad taste. Though this thing will never let me waiver my faith as a catholic it definitely leave me wondering if the self proclaimed righteous leaders of the church in this country are on their right senses. Instead of letting them lead prayers for us maybe it is time for us ordinary Catholics to lead praying for them,” sabi ni Ell Lav.
“This is really too much. Disgrace, disrespect, blasphemy etc for our Catholic faith. Sad to think that the Church and priests are used for political interest. As a religious am sad and ashamed for this unawful act of hypocrisy. Shame on you Fr. Robert Reyes !!!” komento naman ni Maria Chona Fernandez Perez.
Mayroon din namang mga ipinagtanggol ang ginawa ni Reyes.
