May pakiusap ang vice presidential candidate na si dating Akbayan party-list Representative Walden Bello sa mga botante, ang wag ng iboto pa ang katunggali niya na si vice presidential bet Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte.
Nitong Pebrero 26 ay tinawag na kaduwagan ni Bello ang hindi pagdalo ni Duterte sa CNN Philippines debate.
“I’m really terribly sorry that Mayor Duterte is not here to face the people. She is a coward just like Bongbong Marcos is a f**king coward. I would love to debate her.” sabi ni Bello.
Sinabi din nito na ang tambalan ni Duterte at ni presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos ang diumano’y pinakamasamang nangyari sa politika ng bansa.
“The Marcos dynasty and Duterte dynasty, we’re seeing how they represent really the greatest evil of the political system that we have.” ani Bello.
“Which is very important for our people, if you really want to oppose political dynasties, here [are] the two [dynasties] that they boast-the south and the north will get together to eat up the Philippines,” dagdag niya pa.
Sa ngayon ay hindi pa nagbibigay ng tugon si Duterte kay Bello.
Matatandaan na nagkaroon narin ng mainit na palitan ng mensahe sa pagitan ni Duterte at Bello noon tungkol naman sa mandatory military service na isusulong ng alkalde kung sakali na siya ay mahalal sa pagkabise presidente.
“I truly hope that our youth do not grow up to be a Walden Bello — an ungrateful citizen who sleeps peacefully at the comfort of their homes, unable to say a prayer or a silent ‘thank you’ to the men and women who became martyrs while countering violent extremism, insurgency, and terrorism.” ani Duterte.
